bollywood Chote nawab is now experimenting with a different look in Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan which is eyed on caste-based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. Saif will play dalit in this Jha’s venture and it indulged him in lot of hard work to fit himself into the character. Before this he had played a bucolic guy in Omkara and a terrorist in Kurbaan and now a role of dalit. The director and the actor made a deep research for his(Saif’s) role, before they actually started working on the film.
Saif’s clothes, hairstyle, the mustache everything about him is different in the movie. A few days before Prakash Jha received a letter from the Dalit Suraksha Samiti. The letter stated that to drop Saif Ali Khan from the film due to his belonging to a Muslim royal lineage. To this Prakash Jha , head of the production house for this flick, replied through an emailed statement stating that the reason given for dropping Saif is very absurd and illogical.Beside this an open letter to this group was also sent in regard for the refusal of recasting Saif. Along with Saif Ali Khan the movie comprises of Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The movie highlights the reserved posts in India for jobs in diferent sectors which are highly dependable on caste. Jha’s films are mainly centered on society issues ,last released Rajneeti (June 2010) was a political thriller and Aarakshan which is based on reservations. In his next script he will be casting Katrina Kaif as a sadhvi .Soon the details for this movie will be out
