Millions of his fans came flocking to the cinemas to see what the fourth movie On Stranger Tides has to offer. For sure most of them, just like me, found it infinitely entertaining! The story was easy to follow, the new characters interesting, and the effects were awesome.
Gone were Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley but there were two new main characters in the person of Ian McShane who plays the notorious Blackbeard and Penelope Cruz who plays Angelica, Blackbeard’s daughter and Captain Jack’s love interest. Captain Barbossa also returns with a personal motive of getting back at Blackbeard for his lost leg and ship.
But apart from Barbossa, most of the people on Pirates of the Caribbean are keen on getting to the fountain of youth. It’s not only the pirates this time but also the fleet of King George as well as the Spaniards. It was a race as to who gets there first.
But aside it’s not all about chase and sword fights, a love story bloomed as well between the missionary Philip and the mermaid Syrena. And there was of course the spectacular scene with the beautiful but deadly swarm of mermaids.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is now taking the box office by storm. No doubt it is a must-watch movie!
