Singer Sean Kingston iz now out of danger after jet-ski accident in Miami Beach

Miami Beach, FL, United States (AHN Entertainment) - A publicist for Sean Kingstonsays the singer has been moved from the trauma center of a Miami hospital to its intensive-care unit after he was injured in a Jet Ski accident over the weekend.

In a statement released on Monday, Joe Carozza, the singer's publicist at Epic Records, said, "Sean Kingston is now stabilized."

The update comes a day after Kingston, who changed his name from Kisean Anderson to Kingston to reflect his Jamaican roots, was rushed to the Jackson-Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital when he and a female passenger were injured Sunday when the watercraft they were riding on crashed into a bridge.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials released a report to announce that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

The report said, "Anderson was operating a PWC [personal watercraft] with a female passenger westbound along McArthur Cswy towards the Palm Ave bridge.Anderson struck the bridge and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition."

Jonathan Rivera, a member of the Coast Guard who was driving his boat near by on his day off, came to Kingston's rescue that day and said the singer was spitting up blood.

Rivera told TMZ he was with the 21-year-old singer until a police boat finally arrived.

Rivera said he told Kingston he was going to be okay, and the singer replied," I'm going to be okay." Rivera added that the singer was able to follow directions from paramedics.

Wildlife officials reported that the 23-year-old female passenger was listed as being "uninjured."

Hip-hop singer Trav, who has recently collaborated with Kingston, told CNN on Monday that the singer is "doing well. He just opened his eyes this morning."

Kingston remains in stable condition. Hope he recovers soon as possible.
