Denise Richards Plans To Release Her memoir in The Next Month.

As Denise Richards plans to release her memoir next month, the mom of two opened up about what readers can expect to find within the pages of her candid story, including what life has been like since going through “one of the worst” divorces with Charlie Sheen, how she is keeping her kids away from the drama, and her own head held high in the process.
“I went through a lot and I get asked a lot of questions about that time in my life so I figured that I would share my story and hopefully, anyone that is dealing with challenges will know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” Denise explained to reporters of the content of her upcoming book to while out at the Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival Sponsored by Disney to Benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

While the memoir is set to focus on her entire life up until present day, Denise told OK! on Sunday that she does discuss going through a divorce and, “about how it is a struggle and we had one of the worst divorces so if we get into a good place, that’s great.”
The Wild Things star revealed that she also wanted to write about the better side of her marriage, “because people have only gotten the rotten stuff so you know, there was a beautiful love story between he and I and I know that it went the way it went, but I talk more about how I felt during that time because I feel like a lot of women can relate to that, going through a divorce and custody and being a single parent and trying to work and all of that stuff.”

The 40-year-old Illinois native, who seems to be in wonderful spirits, does have to put in extra effort to ensure that her daughters Sam and Lola stay out of the very public divorce.

Although Denise told reporters that when it comes to the media, “I protect my children from that. I don’t keep the news on when they are around,” she may run into some difficulty when the girls grow up a bit more.

“They are in kindergarten and first grade so, so far they are okay, but I don’t know because that could change as kids get older and more aware,” the actress explained to OK! of possibly not being able to control what her girls are exposed to at school. But added, “Today we are good,” before the doting mom decorated American Eagle 77 jeans with her daughters at the carnival in L.A.

And regardless of what Denise and her family have gone through, she reassured OK! that all is well at home.

“Lola just turned 6. Sammy turned 7 in March and they are great. They just finished kindergarten and first grade!” Denise gushed to OK! of her beautiful daughters with formerTwo and Half Men actor Charlie.

Look out for the release of Denise’s candid memoir on July 26. - ok magazine.
